Our client projects tend to span multiple servers, operating systems and technologies. Typical projects include eCommerce, CMS, authentication and ERP subsystems. This has traditionally made it very challenging to find a standard development approach or to share resources between projects.
Fortunately, the maturing of the PHP ecosystem, and the emergence of Symfony as the framework of choice, has dramatically improved this scenario. It provides solutions for concepts such as Entities, DAL, MVC, Dependency Injection, Events & REST Interfaces, which has allowed us to adopt a common set of development patterns and techniques across applications.
This talk will use examples taken from customer projects, to illustrate how Symfony can be used to solve typical development tasks in Drupal 8, native Symfony applications and legacy Php applications.
